Message from the Chair

Welcome to the Department of Radiology at Jacobi Medical Center/North Central Bronx Hospital!

JMC/NCB is an academic radiology department offering one of the most comprehensive and well-rounded radiology residency programs in the country. Our program is ACGME accredited and offers a full complement of radiology rotations including ESIR pathway. Jacobi is the only level 1 adult trauma center, level 2 pediatric trauma center, stroke center of excellence, and burn unit in the Bronx.

The Bronx is a vibrant and diverse borough with a rich history and culture, which provides our residents with the opportunity to see a wide range of cases. We are part of the NYC Health + Hospitals system with sister locations throughout NYC, making it the largest provider of care to Medicaid and uninsured patients. We have academic affiliations with Albert Einstein College of Medicine located across the campus and CUNY medical school. Our department along with these networks provide our radiology residents a wealth of opportunities for education, research, teaching, and collaboration.

Our residency program aims to produce highly skilled radiologists who are well-prepared for successful careers in academic settings, private practice, and emerging fields of radiology innovation. We achieve this objective by prioritizing high quality patient care and promoting a friendly stimulating environment that is conducive to learning.
